Eagle Country

Who is Eagle Country?

Eagle Country is made up of a small group of people who love God, love people and love eagles. The eagles’ nest is located on our small cattle ranch in southwest Florida. The ranch has been in the family for generations and the nest has been on the property for around 20 years. We wanted to offer this nest for viewing in hopes that you may enjoy the eagles as much as we do. We also wanted to share with you some of our Florida wildlife friends in the area, “Friends of Eagle Country.”

We have always had a love of the outdoors, wildlife and the beauty of creation. When Hurricane Irma toppled the original nest tree in 2017, we noticed the eagles rebuilding immediately. It was so inspirational that we set up our own small camera system to document it. After viewing the footage and seeing the beauty and joy of it, we knew we wanted to share! That’s when we launched out and started live streaming. It’s been an adventure ever since!

We love the fascinating habits and instincts of the eagles. When we began watching live, we starting watching with the idea we knew about, or were at least familiar with, the eagles. Boy, did we have a lot to learn! From building instincts and …”style” to feeding techniques to “interpersonal” behaviors, the eagles, themselves, are so unique and diverse. Vic & Nic were so different than Blaze & Abby, yet they all share fiercely loyal commonalities for protecting, building, rearing young and defending territory.

We were thrilled when we discovered Abby & Blaze were rebuilding in a new tree on our property after Hurricane Ian. We have so much to learn and enjoy and so much more to share with all of our Friends of EC! We truly are grateful for the EC community and for those who enjoy and care to watch our eagles as much as we do!

So grab a cup of coffee, pull up a chair, sit back and enjoy watching LIVE!

P.S. Also, the Fish and Wildlife Service has recommended that we not disclose the location of the nest to avoid the potential disturbance to the eagles. We would ask that if you do know the location, please do not disclose it. Thanks for understanding!
