Introducing Gus & Willow

Great Horned Owls

In recent weeks, a pair of Great Horned Owls, named Gus and Willow, has taken up residence in the nest area.

These owls have been seen regularly on and around the camera views, and on January 11th, 2026, Willow laid an egg, marking a new chapter in the story of this live habitat.

Great Horned Owls often use nests originally built by other birds, and it’s a rare and exciting experience for our community to observe their behavior up close. We’ll continue to share live views as the owlets develop, and we appreciate your ongoing support and care for this stretch of Southwest Florida wilderness.

Stay tuned for more live updates, and thanks for watching the adventure unfold here at Eagle Country!
